Hello world!
Hey everyone! I thought it would be only fitting that my first post on my NEW website be about THRIFTING! I’m gonna tell you where I thrift, what I look for, and what its like thrifting with kids, ha! If you’re a stay at home mom like me, taking your kids to the thrift store is a fun way out getting out of the house. They can look at toys and you can look for odd and end stuff!
What I look for.
Okay first, I ALWAY have a list in my notes on my phone of things I’m personally looking for. When you go thrifting with kids you tend to get distracted by them and its hard to remember what you are looking for. Right now my list includes:
Small Cabinet (for our hallway to store sheets and blankets)
Shelf (for our bathroom above the toilet)
Winter clothes for the kids
Floral paintings/wall art
Where I thrift.
I live in St. Louis Missouri. Most of the thrift stores I shop are chains and are everywhere! I tend to go to the thrift store about every other day (yeah I have a problem. ha!) What exact stores I go too are:
-Bethesda’s (The one on Manchester Rd. Closes to Ellisville)
-Saint Vincents de paul (I go to the one on manchester and the one in Fenton)
-Goodwill (Also on Manchester)
-Goodwill (In high Ridge, I always find a bunch of random cool stuff at this one!)
-Goodwill outlet (Downtown st. louis! you pick through bins and definitely need to wear gloves!)
-Savers (in Ellisville off clayton Rd. I LOVE Savers but I find a lot of their stuff is marked higher than other thrift stores)
How often do I thrift?
I go thrifting about every other day, sometimes two days! Yeah it’s crazy but thrift stores are ALWAYS putting out new items! The best time to go thrifting is first thing in the morning after they’ve put out new stuff!
