17 DAYS UNTIL THE PAGEANT! Omgosh I can’t believe how fast its coming! Things have been so crazy busy with school starting back up and trying to get everything done! I feel like everyday goes so fast! Lawsynn got a lot of hair cut off! She really wanted it and I wanted it to be easier to brush in the morning haha! Matt was very sad about how much hair we took off but it’s just hair and it will grow back if she wants it long again lol!

The countdown is on and I seriously have sooo much to do! I thought it would be easiest to do a little run down on what I’m doing pageant wise right now and how things are gonna go the day of the pageant! I’m definitely feeling anxious the more it gets closer. It feels like I’m planning a small wedding that comes with a job at the end of it (minus the food)!😂 let’s start with my to do list and why it’s on my to do list👍🏼

1. Book hotel room for the night of the pageant and the night before because our interviews start very early the morning of September 11th! I would be waking up at like 4:30/5 in the morning to get myself together for it.

2. Pay for ad space and pay for ad to be made. (The ad book is what everyone at the pageant will be looking through during the pageant. It list your sponsors and your title)

3. Get cocktail dress (for the opening of the pageant)

4. Order shoes (I’m trying to go with nude shoes for all my looks. I really don’t want to have to bring a few different pairs to change out of)

5. Get Lawsynn and Holden their outfits for the pageant. They are both going and I’m planning on making an activity bag (mainly for Holden) to keep him happy and busy during the pageant.

6. Practice hair and makeup (I’m doing my own hair and makeup to cut cost and because I’m very picky haha!)

7. Get Matt fitted for tux/suit (he has to walk on stage with me when I wear my evening gown)

I also have been practicing interview questions nightly! Watching mock interviews and practicing my walk! I never knew what all went into preparing for this kind of pageant! It’s been such a fun experience so far and as it gets closer and closer I get more excited! I have my evening gown picked out! Which was very hard to pick out because there were so many options! But my grandma got to be with me, which is what I wanted!

So for the day of the pageant, its going to start VERY early! Starting at 8am! Interviews will be first! There’s five judges. Each girl has to memorize their one minute bio to say to each judge. After you tell them your bio each judge will get four minutes to ask you questions. Then you go to the next judge do the same thing! After the interviews, we will change out of our interview dresses and get into something comfy and go to rehearsal! After rehearsal all the girls will start to get ready for the opening and make sure their hair and makeup is all done! The pageant starts at 7 and is about three hours long! First will be the opening, then swimsuit, then evening gown! The pageant will be live streamed on on the Mrs.Missouri website for like $20ish bucks, I think! That’s all I got for now!
