The Queens go to LA!

Ahh LA! What a fun little trip! Us three queens flew out to LA on Monday evening and then we flew back home Tuesday night! This trip was apart of our prize for winning in the Mrs. Missouri Pageant system! It was an adventure though! They say the girls you are crowned with become like sisters to you, and it’s so true! I couldn’t ask for more amazing women to stand by and experience all of this with!

Kate and I flew out of St.Louis and Lauren flew out of Kansas City! Kate and I decided to wear our crown and sash going to LA because why not! We are living in a once an a life time opportunity and we wanna live it to its fullest! Which was amazing! We boarded our flight to LA and let me just tell you, getting my carry on into the overhead compartment was rough it wouldn’t fit and then finally after trying several tries to get my suitcase to fit my crown fell off my head hitting the lady seated behind me. Ahh Memories and embarrassing. Ha! finally some guy helped me. The flight from St. Louis to LA is 4 hours and luckily I downloaded several episodes of Maid on Netflix! That show is soo freaken good!! Highly recommend it! It helped make the time go by a little faster!

Once we landed in LA we found Lauren. Her flight had landed not to long before ours! We asked a sweet lady to snap a quick picture of us and tried to figure out where our Uber needed to pick us up. LAX is GINORMOUS. like woah! I hadn’t been back to LA since I was 18. The last time I went was for the reunion show for Jordan’s episode. But we finally found the area that the Uber needed to pick us up at and then Lauren realized she left her phone inside still charging. So she ran back in and luckily no one took it.
We found our Uber and it’s about a 30/40 minute drive to our hotel! And yes there was traffic! haha! We stayed at The Garland though and it was BEAUTIFUL! It has a very retro 70’s vibe to it! Lots of wood/orange/brown tones!

Once we got settled we needed dinner ASAP! Luckily the hotel had a restaurant inside it! It was soooo yummy! I got a kale chicken Caesar salad and we all shared a charcuterie board! We didn’t get to bed till like midnight St.Louis time. We were definitely pooped! We had to be up early in the morning too! We needed to be at the photoshoot at 8 am! Luckily we didn’t have to do our hair and makeup! But we had to steam our evening gowns because they were jammed in our carry on. haha! We got to our shoot early so we luckily found this croissant and donut shop! THANK GOD because we were starving and anything sounded good at this point! Ha!

Hair and makeup started right away when we got there and then the real fun began! Austin Ryde and his team were amazing!!! I don’t think I ever felt more beautiful! So now I’m on a mission to learn how to do my makeup like he did hahah! but like for real, everything was PERFECT! The day seriously flew by though! We hustled until the very last minute! Lauren’s flight was scheduled to leave before ours so we literally shoved all her things into her suitcase so she could hurry down to her Uber!

Since Kate and I had a little time before needing to be at the airport, we had our Uber stop by In-N-Out! I’ve only had In-N-Out once and don’t really remember it that much but OH MY GOD IT WAS AMAZING!! St. Louis really needs an In-N-Out here! Our Uber driver was so nice though to let us eat it on the way to the airport. Our flight got into St. Louis pretty late. Matt picked me up while my mother in law stayed at our house with the kids! I didn’t get to sleep till 12ish something. But here’s the remaining photos!

One more sneak peak 😉
