WE’RE SELLING OUR HOUSE!-Answering questions!

I’ve shared a little about selling our house on Instagram, but I thought I’d answer some questions we’ve been getting. Matt and I have always dreamed of having land and having a bigger garden/flower farm. We are finally making moving forward.
We bought our house 10 years ago this August and never thought this was our forever home. Even though I’ve LOVED this home sooo soo much, we have just always wanted more than this.

Selling this house is definitely going to be an emotional experience. When we moved in, we were sandwiched between two abandoned houses, bought it as is, fixed many many things, added a beautiful garden and chicken coop! I found the grand daughter of the original family who built this beautiful 1909 house!
They came out to see the house and told me all the stories about their grandparents who build it. This house has so much history, which is one of my favorite things about it.

Have we found a house?

Sooo… We really weren’t looking into selling our house just yet, or buying because we’ve been a little nervous to do so. But I found this AMAZING house that Matt and I both had to see. We loved it! 
It had been on the market for almost a year and we decided let’s get the ball rolling and get pre approved. We saw the house on a Saturday and by Tuesday it was under contract. Their realtor said we had 72 hour to make an offer but getting the pre approval stuff done did not move quite that fast. 
We weren’t able to put an offer in and it ended up selling. But it was the house that got us moving. As of right now, we have not found a house yet. We keep looking but it feels like what we are wanting is pretty rare and hard to find. We plan on putting our house up for sale as soon as we find a house.

How can you move, you’ve done so much to your house!

We get this a lot. Yes we’ve done A LOTTTT! But that’s part of making a house a home. We made it ours. As sad as I am about selling it, I know we will make more memories in another home.

What are you looking for in your next house?

We are hoping to find a home that’s on at least 5 acres of land. An older home would be AMAZINGGG! We’d love to have a garage. That’s basically it. The land is huge for us. Oh and more space. We need more indoor space. Specially with homeschooling, we want more space inside and out. But mainly we want a big space for a garden, and a huge flower garden. (We did Oklahoma Pink Zinnia’s this summer and I’m in love with them! They are in the photo above.)

Are you looking in the same area?

We are looking as far as hour away from St. Louis. Since what we want seems so hard to find, we are looking all over. (Other than Illinois. lol). That’s also why we are homeschooling. We’ve always wanted to and we don’t want a school district keep us from a house we would love.
