Big Cedar Lodge-At Christmas Time

One of my favorite places we went to right after Christmas! There’s so much to do. Big Cedar Lodge at Christmas Time is just so magical with all the lights and ice rink!

We wanted to still be able to enjoy the last bit of Christmas bliss before Lawsynn started school back up and Matt’s vacation time ended! So we literally booked our hotel room and packed that morning and drove 3 hours to Branson. I would love to make going to Big Cedar Lodge after Christmas a family tradition, its just so magical! Just something to look forward too after Christmas! The magic is still all there!

You get to enjoy all the lights still, the ice rink, the weather 🙄 haha, and it just literally doesn’t feel like Christmas just came and went! It’s still something to look forward to after a busy Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

We stayed in one of the Valley View rooms with two queen beds. Holden was still sleeping in a crib then so we requested a crib for him! It was perfect! The kids slept great! The only things was the people above us were kind of noisy but it didn’t last to long, but luckily I brought two sound machines with us so it wasn’t so bad. We only had two nights there and two days to spend. We spent a lot of time (and money haha) at Fun Mountain! They have a huge arcade, a restaurant, bowling alley, go-cart, kids climbing area, ect. You can spend one day in just that place! HA!

They also have a free miniature golf area right by the ice rink! The kids LOVED the mini golf! We also did the ice rink which was a blast! Holden wasn’t to trilled about it but Law and I went back after dinner and skated just us two. And it started snowing! It was very magical! Felt like a Hallmark movie! haha!

There’s also this really adorable chapel there! We saw a couple get married there and it was so stinkin cute! Big Cedar Lodge has so much to offer though. I was telling Matt you could literally stay there and never leave the resort to do stuff in Branson!
The First night there we ate dinner at Uncle Bucks Fish Bowl & Grill. Super yummy! And luckily we didn’t to wait very long either! Its probably the more family friendly/casual restaurant that they have.
There’s also four pools at Big Cedar Lodge but we didn’t get a chance swim at all. With hurrying to pack and get on the road we forgot the kids puddle jumpers! haha! So swimming was a no go but there’s so much other stuff to do there the kids weren’t to bummed out about it.

Saving at Big Cedar Lodge-
So I learned this after our trip to Big Cedar Lodge that Wilderness Lodge has a time share and people sell their stays on Ebay, Airbnb, and VRBO. Which is usually A LOT cheaper per night than what’s it cost to book through Big Cedar Lodge’s website. I wanna say we paid around $250 a night when we went. Which is A LOT. Next time we are definitely gonna plan it better and not last minute! But you get to experience all the same amenities at Big Cedar Lodge even if you book through someone who has a timeshare. You just save a lot more money booking it that way!:)

And that’s just a little blip into our trip to Big Cedar Lodge! It definitely wont be our last one! (I’m already planning our next trip;)
